Twenty years in healthcare taught me that cleanliness is never optional. It is a matter of safety, liability, and the wellbeing of real people. I was exposed to situations most people never see, and I understood early that what looks clean and what is clean are rarely the same thing.
One afternoon, a patient came into our clinic showing signs that later tested positive for MRSA. The health department instructed us to close immediately and bring in qualified professionals for a full biohazard disinfection. I spent nearly four hours calling more than twenty commercial cleaning companies. Not one could confidently answer basic questions about approved chemicals, dilution ratios, or the PPE their staff would be required to wear. These were companies that advertised themselves as professional cleaning providers. Our clinic was losing money by the hour.

With no other options, I researched the correct protocol, ordered the appropriate chemicals through McKesson, suited up, and cleaned the clinic myself.
